expensive would be an understatement

i think the last time i was there, you could upgrade your 2 rib plate to 3 rib plate for $2.75 or something like that.

Never had the ribs.  Everything there is expensive, though most things are pretty good.  Dont get the chicken sandwich, though.  Tastes like Raid sprayed on cat food.

its called stallions. I think cause the meat comes from horses. I try to avoid eating in that town ... I have many enemies there.

Guys, recently I had to BBQ for a large number of people.  I was tasked with using a propane grill, which I am not fond of.  For a second, things got out of control, but in the end, the food turned out alright and everyone had a nice time!  It was my dad's birthday party, in fact!  Just thought I'd let you guys know!

And therein lies the problem. Maybe 2 Paul's is open, but I thought that place wasn't very good and it was overpriced. Thoughts?

It might be open on Sunday nights.  It is indeed not great/overpriced.

Sure, just dont eat the spaghetti.  Or the tacos.  Just stick to the salad and bread and dessert.

2pauls pepper jelly ribs is good. Priced too high, yes. There's some kinda way to get a kids plate with extra meat that aint too hard on ya.

The pepper jelly sauce is delicious, but you can make that shit at home and grill ya own meat.  (Not that I do any of that very often.)

What do you all think of Don's Specialty Meats? Eddie's BBQ? Lil Daddy's Bar-B-Q? The Shed? Flava Ice and any other places in town? I'm curious about your opinions. Also what you think is the best and what's the worst. For the record, I haven't had Flava Ice's yet.

Dons is ok. Never had the ribs - they sell out quick. Shed is greasy and pricey. Flava ice? Never heard of it. My pick for best is Dwight's or AB Henderson - la and Texas BBQ styles respectively. I did a big piece on this issue back in the day. Every Sunday and at least once a week I ate BBQ from different places. Some times a few places a day. Months upon 3 months of BBQ. 10 lbs. blood pressure real high. Expense account. Ribbed for your pleasure, it was called. Worth it. High point of my journalism career.

I remember that. I'll have to look it up and re-read it. I just was curious since some places have been closed and there are some new places in town.

Never had Don's and never had Flava Ice.  Lil Daddy's was my favorite, but I heard of several people getting food poisoning so I stopped going.  My thoughts on AB Henderson are pretty well known:  Good meat, horrible sides and always gave me the shits.  Eddie's is terrible.  The Shed is completely unremarkable.  Dwight's used to be my go-to spot back in the day, but I havent been in a long time.  I mostly go to Ruby's now because it's right by my house.  It's not the best, but I have learned to enjoy it.

Also, I havent been in a while, but the best Sunday BBQ is, without a doubt, Country Cuisine.  Not as great as it used to be, but its still tasty as hell.  Be prepared to wait, though.

Gotta go with bbq brisket at country cuisine

on cornbread dressing with tater salad and mac n cheese

several people who use/have used  this board will testify that the AB Henderson has plenty of good sides among the 20 options and that their bowels work fine before and after eating there. it is probably the best bbq around.

i propose a meating at AB henderson
