I find myself completely unmoved by her death, as I was by her music. My honest thought on hearing the news was "well, look how she acted. What did she expect?"

Our bodies can only take so much abuse. Even her mom said it was only a matter of time. That's pretty hard.

The only song of hers I ever heard was the one that Ghostface sampled.  So in my world she was always just this person who was famous for being drunk and high all the time.  And having bad teeth n' hair.

If she would've done a follow-up album, it would have to have been done in the vein of Back To Black. I love the sound they achieved on that album.

There was nothing from a live standpoint that impressed me about her, unfortunately. Not that she could never sing live, I just never saw it.

Liz Phair was never a great live performer, yet her early albums were respected by critics despite that.

But Liz Phair also had crippling stage fright.  Kinda different from Amy Winehouse.
